Excellent work happens after someone hires you.

Referrals have to happen before that.

That creates a visibility problem.

Your clients may know you are excellent, but other professionals need enough information to anticipate where your excellence applies.
• They need language they can remember and repeat.
• They need examples.
• They need to understand your sweet spot.

'She's wonderful' is a compliment, not a referral strategy.

The more clearly people can picture the problem or person you serve particularly well, the easier it becomes for them to recognize that situation in the real world and connect it back to you.
