Because vague language gives the brain nothing to grab onto.
If you tell me you help 'families, individuals and businesses reach their goals,’ my brain shuts down over the sheer number of people who immediately came to mind.
Referrals happen when a real situation triggers a remembered name.
Specificity creates that trigger.
'I work with physicians buying into their first practice' is memorable.
I can recognize it when I hear it.
You do not need to reject everyone outside your niche.
You simply need to give your network a clear doorway into your expertise.
The easier you are to describe, the easier you are to refer.
